Who said March Madness is referring to the NCAA basketball tourney? Although I do have my brackets done everything else has been pushed aside, work included. The last week has been a bit crazy for us Johnson's, fevers, coughs and doctors visits oh my! I think I've been to the doctor 4 times in the last 7 days with both of the kids. In the words of Riley, "Ah geeze!" But as it turns out the if you are persistent enough the kids might actually get taken care of, it might take a few days but when you return on the 3rd day they're more willing to listen. Riley started running a fever last week at this time, we went to the doc because she had a nasty cough, fever was going and I didn't like it...doctor said she had a "cold". Yea, ok was my thought!

Holding on tight to that kiki between dr. visits
In little brother fashion, the little man wanted to be doing what his big sister was. Parker started to run a fever too :( Danny and I switched off going to work and staying home with the kids. We are lucky enough to have schedules that allow us to do that, because I'm not sure how everything would have unfolded if we hadn't. The kids both got doctors notes saying they could "Return to School" or daycare on Wednesday. They did and both were thrilled to be back with friends. The next day Parker started running a fever at school, so we went back to the doctor. This time they sent us to Orange Coast Memorial for chest xrays. Just a cold 'eh? From there we went back to the doctor so he could have a shot of meds.

Fast forward to the present...Riley is feeling a little better, coughing still but no fever. I had the doc check her today and she said all is good, ears are clear, lungs clear and with time this will pass :) Parker has inflammation in his lungs so on-top of his shot of meds yesterday, he's on an inhaler (not the easiest thing to give a 6 month old). At our follow up appt. today they could finally see into his ears and the poor guy has a nasty ear infection too! Outside of the doctor visits this week, we're doing great and the kids are smiley and happy. We had a chance to ichat with Mema and Bubba today before the left for work :) I needed that!

That's better baby girl.
Looks like a busy few days for us here. Baca family is coming into town today so who knows what's in store for us. I'm sure a ton of food and hanging out at Jay and Debbie's. Hopefully I can catch up on some work before Monday comes around. Next week is our last week before we are on spring break!!! Horray for making it through the first half of the semester! Crazy to think that I only taught 8 weeks in the fall. Time sure does fly. Easter is almost here which means everyone is coming down to celebrate. I'm so thrilled to have everyone here. Really can't wait. Until next time, keep healthy! xo
Hang in there Na! Keep on lovin those babies - thats the best medicine anyone can get I think!
