The River

River ready, life jackets and all!

We're 8 weeks into the semester and spring break has arrived! We decided to head to the river with the Taylor's. Now as a "nor-cal" girl this whole "the river" thing was new to me. I mean if you're going to ski or wakeboard you head to the Delta (kindly referred to as the dirty delt) but this river place is something else. Now you might automatically think of Havasu, the wild parties and pasties (or so I've heard). But we were a bit up the river in lovely Laughlin. Think Vegas 50 years ago, fortunately with two kiddos and the pup we had the luxury to stay with Scott and Rhonda in Bullhead City, AZ. They have a home there and it was perfect! The weather was great and Chloe was able to swim to her little heart's content. But for some crazy reason Danny and I thought that this was going to be a relaxing trip. Umm, two babies, a dog and a big body of water...we had our work cut out for us. I think by far my favoriate part of the trip was the look on Riley's face the second we got moving on the boat. She loved it! Poor Parker seemed a little stressed but I'm sure that his straight jacket of a wet suit didn't help the situation.

Danny and his co-pilot

Super fast...

Poor guy, kinda freaked out. Check out the clenched fist.

After a fun few days at the river we headed to Palm Springs. Danny picked up GG a few days earlier so she didn't have to drive herself back. Sweet 4'8", 82 year old lady thinks she should be driving from PS to Westminster, and so Danny went and picked her up. He left his car and drove her home in his so on our way home from the river, went to PS for the night. That is a place I love! The weather was incredible, the kids slept great and we had a blast just our little family hanging out on the patio. Thanks to Bubba, Riley was able to spot the moon and made sure that Danny and I were both well aware of where it was. Almost a full moon and it was beautiful!
Moon! Mama Moon!

Breakfast. His bed head is a little different the Ri's.

I managed to get laundry done while in PS so we had clean clothes when we walked in the door. We are adjusting to being back at home and enjoying our time off. I can't believe that it's already Wednesday and it makes me sad to think our break is almost over. On the up side, a few more days and the whole fam will be in town! We are having Easter here and I can't wait!!! So excited to have us all under the same roof! Uncle Tile isn't going to be here and will be missed but we'll make sure to enjoy ourselves just the same.
